I'm so stupid

Aren't black moors cold water?
Yes they are. They're closely related to goldfish and as such are not suitable for tropical tanks - they can't get enough oxygen in the warm water, which badly affects their immune system and they produce a lot of ammonia (more than most tropicals) which is a nightmare in an un-cycled tank.

Sounds like you need to read up about keeping community fish tanks, which fish are good together and which fish are aggressive.

yeah i do, but no hardly any1 replies to my posts I ask what goes with wat and no one says anything
I stay away from what fish goes together questions because they are just too general. There are thousands of different fish out there and it's impossible to list each and every combo that would work. Maybe others think the same way?

If you don't get a reply, try rephrasing the question and be more specific. Name the fish you are thinking of getting and ask if they'll get along.

People usually won't respond if questions are vague or if they don't know. Other than that I think everyone here tries to help as much as possible. :)

dont ever trust what your local fish store people might tell you, they just want to sell fish, and ususally dont know anything and will tell you anything.

Unfortunately, this is often true.

I've said it often on this forum and I'll say it again: find a good INDEPENDENT lfs. If you are lucky you may find a chain store that employs hobbiests in the fish department, but often the person waiting on you is a clerk with little actual experience. It is their job to sell things and though they may mean well, that's all they are able to do.

But it is a different matter when the store is owned by an individual who is often in the shop and who supervises his/her employees closely. They know about fish and they employ people who are active in the hobby. Their business depends on the success of you fish tanks and on your repeat patronage. They are the ones that will go out of their way to help you.

It is worth the effort to find such a store and get to know the management and employees there.
