Im Really Tempted!

I would say yes, its well worth it. Water you get from some LFS is not that brilliant.
Just make sure the RO unit is plumbed into a direct mains fed pipe or the pressure won't be enough (as I found out from personal experience  )

cheers for the reply, its the pipe the washing machine draws off, its as main as im going to get. should be fine

anyone know where i can find pics of any outstanding tank setups? ive been browsing but thought someone may know a particular site etc

oh, also... anyone know of a good marine online shop? for kit and livestock (not that im going to buy online, just want to browse the general stock available)

having been to may local marine shop this morning i can safely say im going for it. also, as I have quite a bit of space in the breakfast room i am not really limited when it comes to tank size, just dont want to go huge.

i am thinking 3-4ft, i was originally thinking of a cube tank however as i am not restricted tank size wise that is no longer a issue.

other than here, the bay and aquarist classified does anyone know of any other marine sites/forums which i can use to search for a setup?

cheers

I'll assume by the terms you're using that you're from the UK. Consider searching aquarists classifieds too. I forget the url but no doubt a google search would turn it up.
