Anything special is should know about it?

its going into my 200l tank, will he be happy there (check my sig)

I couldn't find the info sheet on the forum.

Thanks.

They are sensitive fish so restrictive on meds! It will eat your neons and your platies danios when it gets bigger anything it can fit in its mouth! And It gets big 20" if I remember correctly!
I took this from a site I found

A full sized Black Ghost Knifefish is a big animal which requires a big home. You will need to eventually provide a tank containing 100 gallons or more if you plan on keeping one of these beauties into adulthood. Providing many hiding places with plants, smooth rocks or aquarium safe wood in a necessity. They are nocturnal and will spend most of the daylight hours hiding in a safe and secure location. Once acclimated to their new home, they should come out of hiding at feeding time. Some have even been taught to feed from their keeper's hand.

Hope this helps

OK, that kinda rules it out then, the fish shop said it would be OK....Sigh. Just wanted to check up to see if they were right, they do look like beautiful fish though.

what size tank do you have? What types of fish intersest you? ie oddballs, cichlids etc....

200l tanks with fishes as seen in my sig.

any fish interest me, as long as they aren't like the ones i already have, anything colourful really, or that have amazing personalty.

They look at bit like dutch rams, Will get the pet shop to order some!, Thanks.

Are all your fish in your sig in the same tank?

Just that I notice you have 2 male bettas

id reccomend firemouth cichlids....they have a great character to them, and their brightly coloured.
plus peacefull

the black ghost knife fish will eat almost everything in your tank lol
and it will get far too large for your tank.
sorry, i wouldnt reccomend this fish.

arent you over stocked as is?

Just that I notice you have 2 male bettas

Sorry They are spread out over 2tanks, my stocking level is at 41%. Even If the fish grow to full size.

Does everyone think that would be OK,.

Sorry to bump this thread, it just saves me from making another one,

You know you say that your stocking is at 41 percent (sorry for the word, my computer keeps reverting back to the American keyboard for some strange reason) Presumable you got that from aqua adviser or something similar, they are not really very accurate (My opinion).

I personally do not think the tanks are overstocked at all remember it is 2 x 200 litre tanks! There is plenty of space left in there for more additions! Tortea could you list the fish in each tank? ie tank 1 has x fish
tank 2 has x fish
I think that will give us a more educated position to advise you on what stock will work best for you and your fish!!
