Im officially addicted to bettas

Well today I went to the chinese Buffet and went to the pet store, And in the bettas aisle ALL CROWNTAILS. I picked myself A very Very Young Crowntail. Ill take pics soon.

Congrats but (sorry if I am being dim) is less than a gallon enough for one? I can't imagine them havin very much swimming room.

I hate to think of fish in such a small space.

What are all the different types of betta? i.e crowntail etc. What are the "normal" ones called?

There are lots of types of bettas, like crowntails, lyretails, halfmoons, ect... All the names refer to the shape of their fins. A normal betta with the normal fins is called a betta.
