Yeah huh? I think he got it in march of 2021 when it was about 1.5" I'd say its about 6 or 7" now..
yeah the cichlid has a look like "hey whats up? Who are you? you got food?" :D

I know right? I said pretty much the exact same thing to him- in the most easiest to understand way i could think of but he didn't care. I took some pictures earlier today. I guess he replaced some water recently. I assume he shocked the fish by running cold hose water straight into the tank but i'm not sure.
Hey I wanted to tell you that he got rid of the goldfish. He wasn't happy when I told him that I took some pictures and posted them on this forum. I told him that I wouldn't take anymore photos but that everyone who commented thought it was cruel to do that to the goldfish. He thought about for a day or two and agreed. He didn't have anywhere/ one to give the goldfish to so he killed it. I told him to flush it but he chose to do that. He regretted doing what he did like right after and agreed with me again that he should have flushed it.. At least the creature isn't suffering anymore..

Sad it had to die all because someone couldn't care for him... Also flushing a fish is illegal in most places. But there are other options. Next time (hopefully there isn't a next time) but if there is you can actually bring them to a local pet store and they will buy them from you or you can just donate it to the store.
But it is already dead... Sorry you had to kill it :(

Yeah, huh? Oh I didn't know you're not supposed to flush them. Yeah hopefully there wont be a next time

Off topic, but for future reference-
Flushing a fish is disapproved of because it's a slow painful death being poisoned in sewage, and it risks passing aquarium diseases into the local environment.
The two approved of methods are blunt instrument trauma and sedative overdose. But these must be done properly.
Blunt instrument trauma - catch the fish, place it between paper towels and hit it with something hard. This must be done quickly and the blow must kill the fish instantly to minimise suffering.
Sedative - clove oil is the commonly available one. The fish is placed in a container of water, a small bottle of clove oil/water mix is prepared and a small amount added to the container. When the fish drifts off, the rest is added which kills the fish.
