Over the last few days i have been losing a few fish, i have lost 3 forktail rainbow fish this week, a female endler last week, and tonight a panda cory

It started with the female endler which became sick almost straight away, i put her in a breeding trap to keep an eye on her, her fins quickly became rotten and she was very lathargic, the shop i brought this from said it was my high nitrates (20)

This week i have lost 3 forktail rainbow fish, one went really pale with a red stomach and died, ones eyes went which resulted in him getting stuck on my background and dying and the other had a curved spine which got worse and worse

Tonight one of my panda corys have died, they seemed totally fine until i went downstairs just and one was floating upside down, his stomach area was red and red behined the gills

I also now have a male endler which is very lathargic and a emperor tetra with torn fins!

I had gone ages without a loss and now this

My stats are

Ammonia - 0

Nitrite - 0

Nitrate - 20

Temp - 25

It is very unlikely to have been nitrates. I suspect some sort of bactrial infection or parasites.. all the symptoms don't really correspond to anything I have come across before, so my course of action would be to do a large water change with warm, dechlorinated water, then treat with a generic anti-bacterial.

Will get this done, thank you

I'd agree with kittyKat's advice in the absence of any definitive symptoms.

Have done this now guys thanks, just done large water change and added meds, is it worth leaving the light off for a couple of days and not feeding? Or is there no need for this? I'm also battling brown algae at the moment

I would feed as normal.. but maybe decrease the "normal" slightly.

Did this help? We have had 3 guppies and a Molly die ever since introducing 2 guarmis into the tank which died pretty much straight awat. Pet shop admitted the guarmis were infected but mollies not looking well and it's day 2 of our treatment cycle. Any advice appreciated :)
