:good: hi there im looking for insperation on vibrant coloured plants for a tropical aquaium hosting Discus any ideas? :good:

thanks all

I'd recommend neon plastic ones! :good:

lol!

I find that most colourful plants tend to die, the leaves all fall off! So they might need more care? (unless you already have that!)

I cheated and changed the light in my tank to make the greens stand out more! :D

The plant in my avatar, Alternantera reineckii does well under most conditions. And that red color is no lie. Crypts, especially wendtii red will also have a lovely shade of purple on the leaf undersides. Rotala rotundifolia will blush pink/salmon as it nears the surface.

Below is a scape of mine that features the Alternantera and the Rotala. No CO2 or ferts.

HI THANKS FOR THE PICTURE LOVELY TANK BTW :good:

You have to be careful, however, some plants will not tolerate the higher temperatures that discus require.

The tank pictured above did not use a heater and only rarely approached 80degrees on even the hottest days. As far as warm-water red plants, I'm not so sure.
