Im Looking For A Suitable Pleco For My Tank

Remember it likes water movement so a cheap but good sized submerged internal filter may be good...
Also remember it likes meat more than most plecos...
Yet still a stunning algae eater when it wants to be......

Im putting in a Hydor Ario Submerged Air Pump Aerator & Light so thats the water movement sorted. What knd of meat would i feed? I believe it has to be thinly sliced raw meat?

bloodworm, brineshrimp, daphnia, shrimp, mussel, hikari wafers, pellet food, all work as a good diet for QA's. Stear clear of using any raw meats though....the fat content may cuase problems depending in the meat used and raw meat will pollute the water very quickly.

hey daz bristlenose plecs are brilliant and stay rel small :good:
my sister has a pair in 1 tank breed 3 times...and single in another tank and they do a good jub with algae
i have a clown plec<inherited>prob is in my big tank i may not see him for a while....if i can catch him<fast>you can have him...took 3hours other day trying to catch him just cant cos hes about 2inches......
other hand charminster fish shop has a emmence ammount of bristles for cheap prices :good:
MMmmm! tempted, just as a dumb thought though would the clown actually be ok with my armoured, hes/shes about 5", would the clown see it as company? will they breed :hyper: sorry couldnt resist that one, im not that thick really  .

Have seen some zebras and gold nuggets at a LFS out of town i was thinking of buying but werent to sure, this is quite a hard thing for me to decide on what to get . the tank is heavily planted but was gunna take loads out and landscape it with riccia across the bottom to provide level grazing ground. im at my limit on the tank stock as it is but only got the cat and cories as bottom dwellers, would it be wize? dont mind if it aint as wouldnt want unhappy fish

not sure bought pairing up hes very terratorial
