What is the biggest cat fish out there? and of coarse where can I get one. I was recently saddened by the news of the death of the german bohemuth (the one credited with the consumption of a dog being walked on the shore)

any help would be appreciated

thanks

heh heh heh,awesome

I've seen pics of men wrestling cats to the shore,we're talking HUGE,HUGE fish, you'd need a swimming pool to keep one in

Well It takes a while for them to get that big I figured I could go from a 2.5 to a 5 to a 10 to a 29 to a 55 to a 100 and by then I will hopefully have a carrer and be able to afford to make one of my own out of thick glass and of a good size.

Fish grow quickly and the really big cats would outgrow your career in no time.

But if your lookin fo a really big cat look no further than the Asian giant man-eating catfish the Wallgo atu, will need a swimming pool to house one and a chainmail suit at feeding time but what a fish!

Wow what a fish found this on fishbase if you click on the picture on the top right you will get some more pics, one of its teeth, I would think it eats the people and their boats

David :fish:

my little guy is a tiger shovel nose he's just over 2 ft now, I bought him at 5" about a year ago... They're reported to grow to over 5 foot and yes they can eat small children at their full size. At his size now he can eat a large oscar...yes he has and I don't wanna talk about it. He will be up for sale when he out grows his new tank so if your interested.

How big a tank is he in right now? Id like to build a 4 x 4 x 8 tank thats 800 gallons but I dont have room for anything bigger.

I think I'll stick with my cory cats, thank you! :D They don't eat anyone.

HIs new tank is 100 gallon, 5'X18"X24"..presently he's in a 60gallon untill we finish conditioning the new tank. WE can't upgrade to muchbigger than tha 100 gallon untill we move to a bigger house, and for some reason no fish room in this area wants a 2' catfish. The place I've dealt with for 6 years has lost over 1000 worth of fish to a large shovel nose's appetite

Unfortunatly Im not going to be able to build the 800 for a while im looking into getting a 260 marine tank right now the amount or space just decreased conciderably. as far as chickens go they are a relitively good opton to feed a cat fish.

yes chickens would make good catfish food..lmao they make great chew toys for my dog too
