Hello. My red eye tetras are about a year old. I recently moved them into a new tank, which they have lived there for a whole month. But over the past 2 days they have all died. All other fish in the tank are doing really well any ideas as to why they all died

Any symtoms or behaviour of the fish to go on.

Some of them looked really fat like they were pregnant. One i found floating on the top of the tank when i got in from work looked like its belly had popped open. The others looked slightly yellowish and a one or two had blood on them. I found it really strange that only that one species died in the tank died.

Being bloated and having red on them sounds like a bad bacterial infection the red was septicemia.
How many gallons is the tank, plus what are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nirate, and ph, and how many fish and which type.

got 1 pleco, 1 catfish, 4 bala sharks and 2 baby angels in a 185 litre tank. don't know water stats haven't got a test kit

hmm hi , i'm not a specialist on this but this sounds like an infection to me. Especially cause only 1 specie died. I'd do a water test.

How big are the bala sharks, as they need a 200gal tank, and that tank is barely a 40gal.

Sorry to hear about your tetras... keep an eye on your other fish just in case and yes, do a water test...
