I had a 55g and for various reasons had to chuck it. So I decided to get another set up. I found a tank and a sturdy stand for $60 on craigslist. But! An hour and ½ from my house. Why I thought the stand would fit in the trunk of my coup I don’t know. So I tied it to the roof of my car (burned many calories in the process lol) and drove real slow (caused a bit of traffic on the way home). This was yesterday afternoon. The thing is still sitting on the roof of my car tonight and I don’t feel like dealing with it. I used my man’s car today and will probably use it again tomorrow. I hope it doesn’t rain. I'm so tired.

The stand needs to be sanded and I’m thinking I will paint it. I’ll update as I go along. :)

lol you are really funny. That gave me a good laugh

thursday night---it's still sitting on top of my car !

I spent $AU600 on materials and tools to make a nice hood for my 2 foot tank. It's all sitting in the garage still, and yesterday I took delivery of a new tank (Aqua-one AR-980).

The 2 footer is being shut down once I set this one up. :/

I bought a hood for my 75gal tank...HAD to get it that day, HAD to get the varnish and all to stain it etc. And it is still sitting in my garage.

Its been in the garage 12 months now
It's so funny how we have to have things right now! and then....lazzzzy lol

thing is, i live in a huge complex. i know my neighbors think i'm nutty. the car sat for at least 6 months with pigeon sh*t all over it. then i get motivated to clean it out side and in (i used it as storage for some time lol) and after two days of it looking nice i have it sitting there with a huge piece of furniture attached to it for days.

you could still make the hood and then sell the whole thing for a nice price
