Hi guys.
My fish are a bit ill so I need some help to identify what they have.

I cant get any decent pics so i'll describe their symptoms.

-cloudy eyes
-some have small white dots, but not on fins as in whitespot
-foxface has alot of white spots, sticking out a fair bit and he has scarrs around them, possibly from rubbing
-the butterfly, which i have lost, had alot of excess mucus all around its body
-small gay patches on tangs fins
-overall tatty looking fish

Anyone have any ideas.
I need a treatment pretty sharpish, preferably a live rock and invert safe one, or should I quarentine the lot with coppper. If so, cn copper be used with live rock?

any help appreciated

josh

Hi ben. Tested all the water and its all fine.
ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - 20
ph - 8.2

I just remembered too, the foxfaces poo looked like it contained sand. Well not contained it, but actually was just sand.

internal parasite? bacterial?

i have no idea tbh...wombat over on UR would be your best bet i would say..

I think they just have a bad case of whitespot and fungus. I have put all the fish in the quarentine tank and I am treating them. I have lost the smallest of the yellow tangs, it was very illlooking this morning. I will be leaving the fish in the qt tank for 4 weeks so that any whitespot parasites in the display tank will go through their life cyle and die. It will also give me some time to re-scape, re-fill my tank with ro water and get a good clean-up crew in there.

I have diseases! Especially when youve no idea wher it has come from. :(
