I was givin a 140 litre tank a while back , and have finally got round to setting it up.
I saw a post on here regarding using the Ikea dioder led lighting kit in a tank , so i decided to try it myself.

The result is good , i used silicon to attach them to the underside of my tank lid .. pics below

Really impressed with this bit of kit , £32 of ebay carnt go wrong.
The tank is currently undergoing a fishless cycle (pics taken prior to filling of water etc) and will be used as a community tank.

How do you change the colors on the lights? Do you have to put all new lights? Looks good though.

That's cool! Are you going to have any other lights?
I am only using the led lighting for after hours (so to speak) , during viewing hours i will be using the 2 28" fluorescent tubes that came with the tank, more for the fact i currently have live plants in the tank

you can veiw the catalogue here>> www.ikea.co.uk

they look really good- but my nearest ikea is like over an hour away, the last time i went i spent under £30 so hardley worth it

Nice lighting, djultimate.

The red looks fantastic. Like the green, blue and ceyan also :good:

Any idea what fish are like under these? Can they become stressed?

I have these LED's... not in my tank though they cost £40 for a set of 4 and i;ve got 2 sets so i've made my room into a mood light heaven lol

I've got them all under my bed and up against an alcove. you can have it on one colour or you can have it cycling through each colour!
