Ikea Lamps Flickering

I have a problem with my el cheapo lighting (kicks self). The ikea lights I bought fit 11e T5 bulbs. They work fine with the warm bulbs they came with, but when I put in the cool spectrum bulbs I was recommended to use, they flicker intermittently. The bulbs are the same size, wattage, fitting, just different colour spectrum. Does anyone have any idea why this happens, and how I can fix it?

it could be a dodgy globe
new globes sometimes do it for the first day or so before acting normally after that.
really old globes can do it before they die.
the light unit could have a lose wire.

Hmm, well it's happening in both lights, so I don't know if it's an internal fault with the light units themselves. I'm thinking it may be the bulbs
