If You Had One Tank...

Channa micropeltes

End of.

I saw one of these when I bought a second hand tank from someone, it was really scary...
I thought they were nice fish when I first spotted them at my LFs. I asked the owner if they were suitable for a community or better kept in a species only set up. "Hold on a sec" he said and cleared off round the corner. When he came back he had a net of live feed shrimp in his net. He popped them in and the water became a blurred mass of orange stripes and huge open mouths. Within 4 seconds the tank was empty of shrimp and my question was answered without a word

a 1000gal tank with 100s of reedfish, heavily planted. Try to breed them! :hyper:

I'd go saltwater and have a lionfish like my husband has always wanted. But I would have a reef in it also which would satisfy my love of communities.

A betta, dear god...Lol

Somthing big, maybe a SW shark I could feed stray children.

this is a good idea

i think i'd have to go with a 3000-4000 tank with a couple of the bigger pacific octopus/octopi(?). they're not fish but they've got to be one of the most amazing creatures ever.

i'm a keen angler so i would probably devote it to different species of carp (ghost, koi, common the lot!)

Asian arowana, Peacock Bass, some species of gar, or a large agressive cat. If in numbers, discus or frontosas.

You could split the tank in two and connect them via a tube and watch the octopi wriggle through to the other side :good:

I would have to go with a big sunfish! They are so cute....
A tank the size of a house wall then? Excellent choice :D

A whale shark.

boy i would lve to see the tank for that :hyper: but a great choice imho

That would be one like this then :p :
