My husband is going to go ballistic!

I need to remove ebay and Aquabid from my favorites list and just quit going there at all. I cannot be trusted to just browse. :hyper:

I am expecting next week some male blue crowntails and some turquoise delta tails, male and female. I am excited abo0ut their arrival but dreading explaining to my Oh So Wonderful husband. :-(

Maybe I can rearrange my tanks and move them around so he won't notice a few new ones. I doubt he really knows how many 10 gallon tanks there are, since it is past his "TOO MANY" mark.

Or I could play musucal aquariums and try to fit the new bettas in without buying too many new tanks. I need some scratch paper. Good thing they won't be shipping until next Tuesday! Maybe I can get everything set up and running, tell the hubby I am just doing some redecorating, then when the fish get here he won't notice.

He won't really be "mad" just disappointed, because he knows that I know that I don't need any more fish. It'll all be ok. Especially if I can do it without flooding the house.

I'll post pics when I can, and keep you posted on how he takes it. If I don't post for a while it means I am grounded or maybe dead. :fun: jk

Just give him those puppy dog eyes when you get all the fish set up in their new homes, it always works. :p

Btw, where is ydlsfkj county in Mississippi ? Never heard of it hehe

You're like me, I have to force myself NOT to browse some days. But then I always find something and think "Oh,I can pay that bill later in the month and get these fish instead." I usually gradually set up the new tanks, make them blend in with the room and the old tanks. He asks what I'm doing, I say "Just cleaning the tanks hon'", at which he wanders away before I ask him to help. Then when the fish arrive, I leave work early so I can get them into the tanks before he comes home. Usually takes him weeks to even notice a new fish, and then I just say "Oh yeah, I got those weeks ago". He just shakes his head and wanders back to his video games.

I wanna see pics of those CTs!!

Well, I have an idea for you.
This is what I am doing.
I have 12 tanks all over the house.
I just today went out and picked out a shelving system for my son's room that will hold 12 tanks. I'm getting all new 2.5G minibows to coordinate w/his room colors. So all my existing fish will be in those.

SO

All the tanks in my house will neatly be collected into one room. THEN the rest of my house will look OH so bare. And it looks to everyone else as if I'm doing my SON a favor.

He is a sweetheart, really, but there is that SIGH...But I can't let a sigh come between me and these fish! :hyper:

Yawknipetawfa County is a fictitious place where William Faulkner set many of his stories. It was based on his home of Lafayette (that is la-FAY-et not la-fey-ET) County, which is where I live. (Think RED NECK.) It is actually a nice place. If you like farms and slow southern drawls. And you can take the HEAT (It's not the HEAT it's the HUMIDITY, yeah, but the humidity wouldn't bother me if it weren't SO DARN HOT! :hyper: )

This is where Oxford Mississippi is, home of the Ole Miss Rebels. (I just moved here, I am dreading the traffic during football season... )

The only really bad thing is that I am so far out in the country I think the Fed Ex guys have trouble finding the place. Luckily, no fish have arrived dead yet, knock on wood.

I have already named the new fish, even though they aren't here yet. One is blue with a red anal fin. His name is Clark. "Superman" just wasn't right somehow, but the intent is the same. Along the same lines, the marble with teal/blue fins with red edges is Peter (as in Parker.) And the dark steel/blue...you guessed it...Bruce. The hubby is a big superhero fan, maybe these names (which I like, myself, don't get me wrong) will help smooth things over.

"How can you say I have to get rid of Clark? He's SUPERFISH!"

I have some deltas also coming, but they don't get supernames. One trio is going to be Alex (male), Sasha (female), and Sandra (female). The other trio is Knight, Maiden, and Lady. These names are only tentative. They are subject to change according to personality, of course.

I suppose I could have named Clark Rebel, since he is Ole Miss colors. I had a red betta named Bama once, after the Crimson Tide. But I like Clark better. What would I name the other 2 crowns if I didn't name Clark Clark? I like superheroes better than football anyway.
