that bristle nose william showed you , you mention yours was black with white edges, cool cos one of mine is black the rest are brown, will post pic when i have one!
You may have recognised the ancistrus in the photo cry - it was yours I'm pretty sure yours is just a colour varient of the bristlenose/ancistrus pleco ostrow
i know! lol i got 4 ancistrus from same shop 3 are brown but the female is black in color. oh and i got 2 new L307's today L270 to the old school! lol a pair this time wooohoooooooo!!!
so you don't think mine is a variant of the hoplogenys or whatever? why did the lfs call it a dwarf bristlenose? other than that this lfs is horrible with rude, nasty staff? (they are on the way home from work).
I should have been patient and waited on a10sweety. But she's sending me replacement clown loaches soon
Sounds like you got a nice little fish there ostrow... 'dwarf' to me would be normal size, as cry said about 4". Some ancistrus, such as Claro and Ranunculus can get to 6-8" in size! And they are so UGLY they're BEAUTIFUL!!!
Yeah, I think so. Thanks for all the help guys and gals! These things are still ugly but they are fun to watch. Especially when they are just 1/4" in size!
i have a pleco that is similar to the pic but was not under the impresion it was a bristle nose and it has white tip to its tail and was told it can get quite large. In a 45 gallon tank would i be able to put a small bristle nose in their with the othjer pleco?
