Have been trying to achieve a nice green-carpeted plant on my soft gravel substrate. But I can't since every carpet I got need 3 day shipping day so this is what I do :)
Basically I toss java moss leftover to the tank.
And I know I am going to regret this sooner or later and vacuum the java moss up.

I like it a lot! But itll be fun to keep it trimmed down!
 
It looks nice. Where I live we have more moss than grass on out lawns so to me it looks normal haha

Yep I'm serious. If all of the moss was gone the yard would be mostly dirt. It's just grass growing In the moss

I like how it looks! Especially on the branch. You could make a nice thick patch of it somewhere and that may be more manageable. Gravel is okay, too.
Nature has different landscapes so your tank can, too!
