Identifying Plants

Thank you all very much for your replies.. I did post back to this person numerous times on eBay and again once I made my last
post on here.

I've basically stated I want a full refund in return I'll ship all the plants back to them in the original packaging. I also explained that
I have been told that 90% of these plants are not aquatic and pasted a link to this forum topic.
So far, I've had no replies.

Although most of their feedback on ebay is positive, I'm afraid I now have to advise people to stay away from this seller as their lack
of communcation and blatant miss-selling is a no-no in my book.

I'll let you all know how I get on. Thanks again :)

EDIT:

SuperColey1 - thanks for messaging 'her' too. Hopefully it'll provide some ammunition in getting a refund and the problem sorted!

Hi,
I'm MartinD's better half! Thanks for all your help regarding this matter it really was a dissapointment to receive house plants in the post :(

I'm gonna high jack his post and ask about people's experiences with greenline the aquatic plant shop that SuperColey1 suggested. I spotted this package #4478 on their website and I think i'll get it, plus the cd rom planting guide might be beneficial. Did anyone order this? and is the cd rom any good?

The photo of the PFK article is all you need for a review really.

As for the CD, I doubt you will get any information on it that we won't supply you with on here and I think you'll probably find the advice on here more advanced which wil help take you past 'gardening' to actually moving towards the kind of tanks you see that get you started on the plant route!

Good Luck

Andy

It doesn't look like Lobelia Cardinalis to me either emersed or submerged growth. The leaves are too fat and I cant see a point on the end of them which I would expect. Another thing I notice is that the leaves are Green on top and red under when I would expect this plant to either go red both sides or remain green.

This is a picture of a Lobelia grown emersed and you will notice it is much lighter green and hasthinner leaves with definate points to them.

I've never owned this plant though so I will bow to experience on this one as I am just going by piccies.

That is a picture of a Normal Cardinalis Lobelia. The Dwarf is totallty different.

Never trust anyone that advertises in full caps lock. Just shows how much of an idiot they are. I'm so sorry this happened to you, not fair is it? Can you put in a paypal dispute?

Yep - just done that. I've also included a link to this post in the Paypal dispute. Here's hoping all goes well.

Greenline are very good, Ive never had a problem with them, ok the website is a bit outdated, but it works ok and they are very good customer service from what I have heard (never needed to complain myself!). The plants are cheap and of a decent quality. You can ask for more really.
