So, i went and bought two crawfish at the bait shop today, I'm curious if anyone knows what kind they are? One is an inch long, the other is an inch and a half. The others ranged all the way up to about 4-5 inches

That's the smaller one, now christened Billy bob

this is the larger one, Fredzilla

They kind of look like calico's, but they don't have the tipped claws o_O here's a link to the calico's info though:

they look like Marble Crayfish.
I cant be any more specific. as Marbles were "discovered" in a German Aquarium. as such they dont belong to any Cray family.
but are veracious, plague carrying and a sexual. the last part making them the ideal bate food.

I'll ask a marble breeder their opinion! Thanks!

Update: Fredzilla drowned when he knocked over his rock structure while I was at school so he couldn't climb up for air

I was told by multiple they need acess to air if you don't have a filter or bubbler.

you have been told wrong! simples!
I'd try to find people who know what they are talking about. before you take their advice.
No Crayfish needs access to air. they dont even need access to land.
its true, many like to "play" in air bubbles. but this has nothing to do with breathing.

honestly guy. get rid of your cray. and do some research for yourself. then get some.
