Hi just went to Pets at home and picked up some Keyhole Cichlids. i asked for 2 pairs and stood back and he bagged them up. ive got home and i'm pretty sure he's given me 3 convicts by mistake.

ive not took them out ogf the bag yet but im really annoyed. one is different and not stripy. they were in a brown bag so didnt check till i got home

i need peaceful cichlids and i fear i have aggressive ones.

definitely 3 convicts! unsure on the other as you can't see it very well possibly acara or juvis Texas but definitely no keyholes in that bag.

DEFO 3 cons but not sure what the top one is.

They're purdy. Too bad they is aggresso.

im going to upload a video. there were keyholes in the tank with them. i didn't watch him bag them. i guess i trusted him to get it right.

sorry if the video isnt right. im rubbish at this stuff

you can click on the photo to go to the video

Just exchanged them for what i hope are Flag Cichlids ?

they had labled these as keyhole but they are actually flag cichlids. i'm beginning to think Pets at home know nothing.

guy told me the 3rd was a green terror perhaps, but you never know.

Man that is bad!! It was three cons and a texas.

Those are festivums :)

Think of it this way, pets at home is like the aldi meat section where as what you actually want is prime cuts from the best butcher in town. Its not that all pets at home are bad but its quite easy to find a bad one or hear of a terror story...

Wills

no but hopefully they will be much better than the convicts

hmmmm yeah!!!!. What are you mixing them with? anything slower moving with long fins or fin extentions is fair game for a festivum, saying that they are slightly better in a group.
