My boyfriend purchased 5 fish and didnt look at their name so i have no idea what they are. Can anyone help. One has no air bubble inside him (they are totally see through) and has to swim and swin constantly. Is there any way i can help him? Is it possible that he has no swim bladder at all? He even appears to swim all night bless him!

They remind me of 'Red Belly' X-Ray Tetra

Google them up

Well, that one has me stumped! It's certainly not the Indian glass fish Parambassis ranga, nor either of the glass catfish species (Kryptopterus bicirrhis or K. minor)

It couldn't be one of the new transparent zebra danios, Danio rerio, could it? I didn't think they were in the aquarium trade yet?

it does look like the x ray tetra just more see through...i think this is most likely... i had heard of the new danios when i was googling. our fish store is brilliant they have most anything you want... i'll pop back and have a look. 'no bladder' seems to be surviving, eating and hanging out with the others so i'll just watch and see how he goes.

Are we talking about the fish on the bottom right? Intuition tells me a leucistic Hyphessobrycon species tetra, but do also look at Compsura heterura, for example.

It could also be an Albino of some sort of Tetra?
Are the eyes red?

That is the track I am thinking along as well: leucistic is lacking pigment, but not actually fully albino (so eyes are normal colour).
