Ideas?

I would go with 4-5 girls if you wanna get an otto or some cories.

I have a female sorority and I LURVE it!!!!

Just don't forget, females can be as territorial as males, so tons of hiding places are needed!

Maybe not lied, but they were not correct.

Do not do it. You won't have babies...you will have dead fish.

I would suggest that a filter is not optional on a 10 gallon that will be housing 6 fish.

Ottos do better in groups, with 6 fish in a 10 gallon..yes you would be way over stocked.

I would also suggest you keeping bettas for alot longer then you have before even considering babies, no offence.

Can I put a guppy in with female bettas?

Nope. Just stick with the female sorority. Based on my research, I wouldn't mix guppies and bettas whether they're male or female or whatnot. I just don't like the mix, for behavioral, environmental, and aesthetic reasons. 10g is just too small a tank to play with that kind of community. If you get male guppies, the female bettas will nip, at least that is my impression. If you get female guppies, you have babies for 3 months or longer and then your tank will become overstocked. Keep it to six ladies as the other members have suggested and you'll have a nice, active, and fun tank to watch. Put hiding places and plants and it will be a pretty tank and your fish will love you. :)

Edit: I can't spell to save my life. :p

alright, I'll just stick to getting a all girls tank. I just got to save up about 10 more dollars and it will be ready to roll son.

I know I can't either, it takes me forever to type a post so good.
