Ideas For Ten- Or Fifteen-gallon Tank.

What do you think would go best with a betta in a ten- or fifteen-gallon tank? I've got some idea of what fish are okay with bettas, but what do you all think?

You know, maybe I just get mean bettas, but I have never had much luck with keeping fish with bettas. I would get so mad when I would go to the LFS and see their bettas peacefully swimming with the fish in almost every tank! Mine two were mean sons of guns. The only things that did well were small, fast moving tetras (white tipped, neons, etc) and danios and white clouds. Any gouramis, or anything with remotely large fins got attacked by my guys...

What were you thinking?

what about some corydoras cat fish or kuhli loaches they might be ok, they should clean the bottom of the tank as well.

I was thinking of maybe some neon tetras? I've heard those would go well with a betta. I've also thought that cory cats would be good, as well.

Ive got 5 black neon tetras, 5 gold neon tetras and am soon to get 5 normal neon tetras! My betta is fine with them and neither of them seem bothered that they are there. Some people get neon tetras that nip their fins though. I also have a couple of phantom tetras and they are good with both the betta and smaller fish. Good luck!

I'm think I'll probably go with a betta and about six cories. I've heard that cories like to school, so that'd be cool. Or would 15 gal. not be large enough for that many cories?
