Hello All,
I asked my friend to get me some silk plants at the old WM. She brought me back a couple good ones and this giant ugly lillypad looking thing. It doesn't sit on the water though, it's like stuck up and down on a rock. Possibly you've seen them? Well, I had it sitting in the back of my fish closet for the longest time.
Then, I brough Alpha home for some TLC and he was in need of a bushy, hiding plant. I didn't have any moo-la so I decided to chop up the lilypad thing. This is how it turned out, and he LOVES it!!!!!
I've decided to create a plant forest in my 10 gal, and I'm going out to buy more of those ugly lilypads because my guppies will love them as well!
And here is Alpha , couldn't resist showing him next to the bush:
And for the second "creative" thing I've done with plants recently, in the new minibow 1 gal I got, it has this underwater gravel thing, and the tube that sticks up in the tank isn't very astetically pleasing, so I put a tall plant in front. Jimmy loves to play in the current on one side or zip around and hide in plant on the other side. It's pretty cute.
Tell me what you think? I'm looking for more ideas for my plant forest. Post some pics of your if you got 'em!
