Ideal Diet For Variatus Platys?

oh yeah mine were freeze-dried to.

frozen bloodworms are best,
i wouldn't feed freeze-dried to my fish it's not very good and a wast of money

oh well beats flakes.

which brings up the question: my variatus platys have been fed goldfish / coldwaterflakes and i cant find temperate flakes so, should i give them coldwater or tropical fish flakes. or a mixture of the two???
