Id This Please - Filefish

Can anyone ID this please - all the shop could tell me was that it was a filefish

I'm not even convinced it's a file fish - tail is different

Managed to ID it tripodichthys strigilifer Curry Comb tripod fish

Now I need to find some info on it

I've "heard" of these fish but haven't seen anybody keep them. They seem a little like a filefish and are one of the "other" tetraodonts, family Triacanthidae. Try feeding it mysids or nori.

That mouth looks like a mouth that would love to nibble at nori or some tastey macro algaes.

It kinda does have a Tangish/Moorish Idol mouth.

According to my findings on the web they eat benthic invertebrates

So not algae eaters
