looks like a C. trilineatus to me.

not really mate, i saw some in P@H when getting the dog food, they were 2 for £7.

Ian is right its a C. trilineatus. very common in the U.K and one of the cheaper cory species to buy. inchworm has just got some in the U.S after a bit of a search so im not sure how easily available they are over there.....
i would suggest getting at least 2 or 3 more if you can and they will be much happier and playfull :good:

It's definitely not trilineatus guys, i would probably say sodalis myself but the overall not rare part is exactly the same, they cost around £2.50 each round here :good:

after looking again it has no black spot on the dorsal fin so maybe not a trilineatus.... but i wouldnt say soladis either!

c.punctatus maybe.....?

Wrong shape and different markings, if i remember correctly they also have a splodge on the dorsal.

The shape and patterning on the OP pic is consistent with sodalis, there markings can differ considerably but the shape remains the same.

I'm 100% sure it will be sodalis but i guess a better pic would confirm this.

I don't think its a trilineatus, has matt says it don't have the black spot on the dorsal fin...

Looks more like a soladis than a punctatus - the latter also tends to have a black mark on dorsal fin...

yeah defo not punctatus thinking about it. with it looking quite young and the pic not ideal its hard to tell as there are so many spotted corys...

maybe sodalis although i thought the pattern was more spotty rather than stripey on the sides....

I think its a Trilineatus rather than Sodalis, Im pretty sure in my LFS some of the Trilineatus have a faint spot on the dorsal fin or none at all

Hmm let me know when you finally get an id on these.

Just google the 2 names and you will be the best to correctly ID beings you have the cory in front of you.

I assure you the cory is not trilineatus, the pic clearly shows this, the shape is wrong, the markings are wrong and basically it doesn't look anything like one.

I would be 100% the cory is sodalis, as i said google the names and match to see if it is a correct ID
