How do you tell them apart?

I thought with aiptasia the little tentacle things went straight up and on polyps they went to the side...? Obviosly I'm wrong..

Aiptasia have longer tentacles in relation to their bodies. Also, they have fewer colors than shown there.

thanks ski. How long do they take to spread? My friend said up to 6 months, is this right? It's taken frozen bloodworms, should I keep target feeding it?

n3ont3tra once you get a tank and see them in person it's easy to tell them apart, they look a lot different and like ski said a lot more color.

Feeding will increase its growth rate for sure... 6 months might be reasonable.

Actinodiscus genus mushrooms and coraline algae. Those mushies are relatively aggressive corals, so keep an eye on them

Sorry to butt in, but whats the black thing next to the shroom. I've got them on my rock of hairy mushrooms.

LOL I was actually asking about what johnny t. asked. Thanks for the info on the mushrooms. What are they aggressive towards, my hermits always by them and on them so I'm assuming not hermits, are they aggressive towards other corals?

Yes, aggressive to other corals, especially the weaker hard corals... They'll out-sting SPS, brain corals, and a few others. They live happily with other softies usually and are killed by euphyllia (torch, frogspawn, hammer, galaxea)

Ok thanks, well sps I don't have the lighting for, brain's get too big, I was thinking of frogspawn but have to research size along with galaxea so I'll keep that in mind. thanks
