That's good news and I'm glad to hear it. If you can feed him on live or frozen blackworms, tubifex or bloodworms, the good protien will help him recover and grow new tissue too. It will also be easier for him to eat than the hard wafers.
If you watch your other corys you will see how they use their barbels to eat and understand the problems he will have until they start to regrow. They are truly amazing things.
If you have any MelaFix, it wouldn't hurt to add some to the tank too. It's a mild anti-bacterial and can sometimes be helpful.
