Hiya,

I need some help IDing this plant I put in on the weekend... I'll try and get a better picture of it, but for now it is the purple leafed one on the right behind the slate.

The leaves are mostly purple, but they have some green as well.

Any ideas?

THanks,

Jo.

The pic isn't too clear so I'm not 100% sure but I think it is either Alternanthera reineckii ''lilacina'' ('Purple') or Alternanthera reineckii ''roseafolia'' ('Pink'). Althernanthera reineckii is a lovely plant which needs fairly high levels of light. I have one myself and it look great contrasted against other green plants. :)

Thanks Nisha, at least I have somewhere to start. ;)

(I can only take pics from my mobile, which explains the blur....)

Thanks

Jo

I was thinking Alternanthera reineckii ''roseafolia'' as well. It's a very nice plant, but can be quite demanding as well (as are most red plants). As Nisha already mentioned, it needs high light levels. HTH
