Can anyone ID this plants. LFS didn't have labels and didn't know what it was either.

Could maybe be a small crypt? (I’m no expert! ;))

Given the dark green colour, and the appearance of fairly stiff/hard leaves, they are likely a species of Ophiopogon, commonly called Fountain Plant. There are a few species. Not truly an aquatic I believe, but some species do last well submersed, a few apparently less long.

Spot on Byron. I eventually found it after trawling through umpteen sites and images.
It isn't an aquatic plant but seems to be in fairly common use in aquariums.

Thank you both

My bad man, I thought it was a crypt swamp plant mix.

mondo grass or pongo grass. Byron provided a scientific name (Ophiopogon sp). it's a garden plant that pet shops sell because the plant has tough leaves and lasts a couple of weeks under water before eventually rotting. It should not be used in aquariums.
