Id Please?

only other one it looks like to me is a l168
or l168 hybrid if they can become hybrids

He definitely doesn't have stripes LOL. He has spots

Heavy planted, 200l, loads of bogwood.. all makes it very difficult to find, let alone get a pic of a teeny plec haha. I don't know how all of you manage it.

Been looking on Planet Catfish. Most of the L183 pics are all different. Different size/vibrancy of spots, no white on dorsal but white on tail, or white on both...

Not a butterfly :p, again it wont have bristles and any BN wont cross breed with anythink other than ancistrus as far as im aware?

L100? Bristles, spots, white seam on tail but not dorsal..

Hmmm.. very possible but again in a stress state and so small without clear pics its very difficult to ID possitively :(

Will remain a mystery til he/she grows then :good:
How long roughly do ancistrus take to get to a decent size? And any guess on age as well? That angel beside him is only about 1.5" if that, not quite sure how you measure plecs.

Dependant on actual one, L183 i found to be very slow growers where as common bristles to be very quick, hazard a guess on 1 inch fish....4-8 mnths ish again dependant on what it actually is lol

Got a slightly better pic.
Right before the gold spot chased him off :(

you sure m8 take a look at this pic you can just make out some of the spots, little white pin prick things.

Russel, he doesn't look like the L088 either :( The spots on both the L183, L182 and L088 seem bigger. He's only got wee tiny ones then a white seam on his tail. Can't see anything on his dorsal now.

Compared to this:

I don't think they look alike..

Thats a baby m8, will be like that untill he grows up, tends to happen with most spotty species. the adult will have much smaller spots
