i have attached a picture of this, thing we have discovered on our rock. it doesnt move but to the feel it is very jelly like. i havent added anything to the tank now for 3 months and this has just appeared over the last few weeks and growing at a rate of knots, also i have noticed another one appear although alot smaller on another piece of rock. just wandered if it is a pest or not.

It could be eggs, et cetera. Leave it for now, and it may hatch into dozens of snails.

I am more interested in your 'avatar'. Is that an Actinodendron (fire, branch anemone)? Is it in your own tank?

Hi lyden thanks for that i think i have narrowed it down into some kind of sea squirt family basically a filter feeder that can spore alot and become a pest the name escapes me but i will find it again and let you know. the avatar is my red feather starfish, an awesome creature they have upto 200 legs and look like they are covered in feathers.
i will add a picture for you

That's a crynoid, right ?
A lot of controversey about keeping them.
Me and Flagfin had one for a while, looked great, then deteriorated...just started falling to bits.
How long have you had yours, and what is it eating ?
Cool pic, anyway !
