I'll say LDA33 (L142) - Big white spot - Barryancistrus about 10" but they are slow growing...

It looks like about 1 of 10 different L or LDA numbers and it's so confusing! He sooo is not a L262, some shops are so ignorant. It would be great if he was a snowball as that was on my wishlist

Ohhhh ok gotcha now, L142 is also LDA33, i.e. it's a Snowball Pleco aka Baryancistrus. Wicked, thanks x

If memory serves me right the common name "snowball" normally refers to an L102 - the hypancistrus.. the same species as the L262 it was listed as...

you've got the best looking black with white spotted plec out there is you ask me (but I'm biased as i've got one too - Called Spot )

Thanks for the clarification, got there in the end!

He was on my fishwishlist so finding him was like a dream come true!

He is a great fish, even if he is sucking the colour out of my 3D structured background!!

I see a lot of him, he isn't a hider at all and now he's settled in he's very black and white instead of the muddy green colour in the pics above.
