Id My Cichlids

Note: Don't forget that if they are wild caught - markings & colouration & dentation can vary depending upon each location.

003
Pseudotropheus Lombardoi (female pictured) Males turn bright yellow upon maturity, Females remain blue. Species is unusual in that the fry are bright blue with black vertical bars when released from the mother's mouth, unlike other species which are drab until reaching maturity.

009
PS Lombardoi female again, labidochromis caeruleus in background.

005
Pseudotropheus Socolofi (Pindani)

I have bred & sold all the species pictured here many times, so am fairly certain of the ID. Though that was back in the early 90's & I see that some of the scientific names have changed - Pseudotropheus Lombardoi is now Metriaclima Lombardoi.
The female pictured in 009 seems to have a malformed mouth, but it could just be a distortion via the glass.
