Hey,

Was wondering if anyone here could ID these baby fish. We've just been trying to get them out of the pond before the koi eat them so i thought i'd get a pic as im not sure what they are. When they were in the pond they looked like shubunkins but they look silver in the picture

In the pond are
About 10 koi
4 Goldfish and 1 shubunkin
2 green tench.

I thought they were baby green tench but we only got them about 2 months ago and i've been told the babies are probably too old to be theirs as they wouldn't have started breeding immediately.. Anyone have any ideas?!

they still have their baby colouring so trying to guess is going to be impossible. it can take a year for adult colour to come in. to me just now they look like tench but its too early to tell. they are lovely though.
what colouring are the adults? if they were going to be shubunkin then i think the colour wouldve come by now.
keep us updated with pics as they grow, would be interesting to see if they change...or not.
are you keeping them or selling them on?

Your everday common 7 cent goldfish? Without its color which is possible being as they are grey when they are younger. I could be wrong but thats what they look like to me.

Just normal Goldfish.. They came from a garden centre so they're nothing special!

I have about 50 babies at the moment so most will be given away :)
