Ick And Inverts

If the tank has no fish and you will be taking longer to cycle the system then the parasite will have its cycle broken and it will starve to death. If you wish to raise the temperature during this time it will increase the speed of the parasites life cycle and thus it will starve faster.

I think that is the way we will go. (small water changes) That way: I get a "chance" to save the corals and perhaps some other inverts while edadicating the Ick parasites. Thanks to all of you for your insight to this most unusal problem.

Happy to help :)

There's nothing worse than facing a problem and having no idea what to do or not being able to see the solution.

UPDATE:

I did not do a partial last night as the Nitrite/Nitrate level had dropped by way more than half to about 10pmm...the snails seem fine and the coral has opened up again. The tank is clearing. We are going to let it ride and settle down. When the water tests ok, we are starting over. Thanks again.

Nice, sounds like whatever was decomposing in there might be mostly processed. Hope things continue to normalize :)
