Ok no one would answer this in Beginner so I'm going to ask here.

My new GSP is very little, and it seems to have most of the symptoms of ICH. It doesn't eat and it has white spots... I have a picture too, so I could really use some advice on what to do. Note it came from the pet store like this, so what can I do to help?

I also noticed the GSP is breathing a bit faster then my other baby...

hi there

I cant be much help, as I am not much more than a newbie myself, but noticed that you have not had any replies yet so wanted to offer morale support!

Before you get an answer, from my experience of posting here people will want more info such as what are your water readings and your temperature. also how long has your tank been set up and how often/much are your water changes.

if you have some test kits, do that as soon as you can and Im sure someone will be along to help
good luck

You should always make sure that you buy a healthy fish from the lfs in the first place, but that cannot be helped in this current situation.

Do you have a quarantine/hospital tank?

Try to isolate the sick fish immediately and raise the temperature at about 30 Celcius.
In ich cases I use Sera Costapur. Follow the directions and hopefully everything is going to be OK.

the white spots do they look like salt or are they bigger? they look bigger in the picture.

Welp guys, this sucks to say this but its dead... It was so weak from not eating, breathing hard, that it got sucked on the oh so gentle filter.. I fell asleep watching it and I had to push it off the filter several times. :( At least I know that what my fish had from the start. It just sucks I couldn't buy the copper sulfate as Petco was closed. Ugh..

should I clean my tank? note its been running for about 9 days now.

Why dont you PM pufferback he is awsome with puffers.. Go to the oddball section you will find some of his post in there. Ask his advice he is great..
