Ich!

Hey I posted this in the beginner forum, but I thought addressing the ich problem here would be okay too since the other post was multiple problems. 
 
So yeah new tank, not cycled, fish dying cuz ammonia. whats left is 1 betta, 4 tetras. 
 
Should I keep my betta in?  take him out? Idk if he has ich, he's pale white dragon scale so its hard to see. If I treat the tank with medicine, is it okay to keep the betta in there if he doesn't have ich? (I think he might have ich by now)
 
Should I discard the medicine idea and add aquarium salt instead?
 
Also while I am treating the fish for ich, I am also trying to cycle the tank and get those good bacteria to grow.  Is the medicine and all the water changes going to conflict with one another?

What is your filter media? If there is activated carbon in there it will absorb the medication. I would leave all of the fish in there, turn the temp up gradually to 29C and medicate. I havent personally used the salt method but I have heard that it works.. Maybe someone else can help with that.
The higher temp/ medication has worked for me, since all of your fish have scales you should be ok with that method.

Yep thats it, your medication will just be absorbed by it and rendered useless.

I pulled my betta out of the tank cause he didnt have itch. But yeah im gunna pull those rocks out and then add medication for my surviving tetras. Hopefully in a week the ich will be gone and the water will be amonia free.  

I just read that when you are trying to medicate your fish, the medicine will kill some of your good bacteria! the thing is. .  . im trying to get all this ammonia out of the water (i didnt properly cycle the tank before i dropped my fish in :c)

Is the medication every 3 days? If so just do near 90% water changes inbetween and dose again, depending on how bad the infection is it will probably take longer than a week to clear up. When adding the new water just remember to temp match and dechlorinate ;-)
