Hi all....

Im having a really hard time ridding my tank of ich. I have a 55 gallon tank, with a variety of fish. We got ich about 3 weeks ago and starting treating in the early stages. I was using Rid-ich, and moved on to a natrual ich medication. We are medicating 2ce a day, and its only getting worse, and yes, we did increase the heat to a swealtering 89 degrees. Does anyone have any ideas what to do??? We are at a loss, and we are really attached to our fish, and dont want to lose any. We have a gouromi with its dorsal missing, and not sure if thats ich related or if another fish got to him. Help??

Thanks a bunch,

Debbie  :hyper:

Hi Debbie,

Welcome to the forum. Why not register and get the full benefits of all the forums here!! We have many members who love to help people and answer questions.

At this point I can only recommend you slowly drop the temp in your tank to 82 degrees. 89 deghrees is to high and can cause further problems the least of which is oxygen deprivation.

Hope you added extra aeration with the temp this high!!

We would need to know a few things before being able to give any really good advice. Once you register...go to the tropical emergency forum and post your problem....you will get many quick responses and we can start to help you and your fish on the road to recovery.
