Help, I have a loach and a syndontis that have ich I think. The loach only has a couple bumps but the syndontis is covered and his skin is peeling, what do I do quick :(

First of all i'll sorry for everyone on the forum for missing this post :*) .Follow normal steps for treating ich (raise temp to 30 dgc dim lighting and use appropriate medication) but do not add salt as it will burn the scaleless fish.

Fire-eel-watchers got it, BUT be careful which ich treatment you use. Some loaches don't react well to some meds. Check with your dealer and make sure to tell him/her it's for a clown loach.
(Go to an aquatic specialist, NOT walmart)

Thank you everyone for your response, even though it took a while for the replies. My loach turned out o.k. the spots went away. My syndontis cat was the worst of the crew, although, I had a lot of trouble diagnosing what he had at first I thought it was ich so I treated them with a regular dose of malachite green and some other ingredient, the loach cleared up quickly. The catfish seemed worse and fuzzy, so I did a water change and treated the tank for fungus and he is clearing up, but still has some problem areas. He gave the stuff to some other community fish, they all got treated the same but the others weren't so lucky. That is really frustrating. Thank you again,
