Ich...oh How I Hate You!

So was a sad day for me....
little info on tank
 
180gal
lightly planted atm
6 chunks of driftwood
 
noticed ich in my aquarium 4 days ago and started treating as soon as i saw it...
It claimed 2 of my fish today..

 

my Sailfin pleco and 1 of my clowns.
 
4 clowns left now and only see 2 of them on a regular basis other 2 havent seen in 2 days so i thinking they died to but there in my pirateship(thats where i found my clown dead today inside ship cavity)
 
2 clowns i see are in bad shape too 1 is very pale and other just swims in circles..i hope they make it as i do love watching them.
my tiger barbs all seem ok and cant see ich on them.
 
treatment i am doing is temp to 85-86 and using ick-rid by Kordon @1/2 doseage for loaches...doesnt seem like helping a whole lot though
also doing water changes as meds ask for. (thinking stoping that though as i think the water changes takes too much of dosage out)
 
any ideas to help would be appreciated. pondering adding salt but idk if will affect meds
 
this first time i ever had ich in 18years of off/on fishkeeping

If you raise the temp in the tank maybe low 80's mid and slowly lower it back to normal, it should kill ich

Make sure you remove that pirate ship and check inside in case your fish have died as you are fearing.  Not removing them will pollute the water.

thinking i got this ich under control....lost 4 fish though not happy at all about that...3 clowns and my sailfin plec.
 
last 2 clowns have 4-5 white spots on them still but big improvement of when they had 40-50 on em.
still dosing meds hopefuly it will all be gone in another week or so.

Cant wait to go another pleco...just love the look of them.
 
only other question is saifin or common or other pleco?
 
algae is not an issue in tank so pleco is mostly just for looks.
