I dunno....I thought I had two males to spawn to two female oranges to have two spawns going at the same time. I had also had long term plans of trying for..in the very far future...an orange mask if at all possible. I can still do that of course. First I'll spawn these two and hope for fry and then I'll breed those fry to the oranges. So I guess, the point is, it's not a bad thing...just not how I planned

What do people, you for instance, do when one of the REALLY expensive bettas die after you get home..........I know this sounds REALLY stupid but is there some sort of a warranty or return policy or something )

Touch wood, I've never been in the situation. But then again...I have unbelievably healthy bettas at all times (touch wood again)

But I would imagine there is no return policy, experienced betta keepers are expected to know how to care for the fish,I would assume. I know Faith on Bettatalk has a DOA policy, but it has a bunch of technicalities. One of the ED's that I got from her broke out with a weird head rot about a week after he arrived, I thought for sure he was a goner out of bad stock but he cleared right up with multiple weekly water changes and bettamax. I used the same gravel vac on the rest of my fish so I guess it was just something on him in particular, nobody else got it.

Just take care of them and know who your seller is and you should have no worries!
