It was so cool. The bettas were gorgeous - some with colors/patterns I had never seen. It was small, and there were't that many people there, but there were over 400 bettas. Marianne from bcbettas was there, and it was fun to meet her. Victoria, who is the woman from whom Julie got her B. falx, was also there. There were great raffles going on - with the amount of people there, I thought it would be a good idea to work the raffle as much as possible. They had a number of raffles for fish pairs and trios, as well as fabulous supply prizes. You'll have to wait till tomorrow to hear how the raffles turned out - they will pull them tomorrow during the auction.
We went to a fish store I know about down the road from the show, and guess what Sorrell bought? That's right, two bettas!
One of the sets of raffle fish were 6 F1 betta species, "undescribed 2004".
We're really hoping to win those - Julie and I are going to split them if we do. (if it's 3 guys and 3 gals, Sorrell will probably get a pair too...
)
Anyway, it was great. Can't wait to come home with my new bettas tomorrow, whichever they may be...
