he barely ever moves doesnt really eat ( but i will try and feed frozen blood worms in a few days ) i dont know is something wrong with him im kind of worried

its normal some you never see move you may aswell have a bit of bogwood it will move more

I have Delhezi's that are
very active all the time!

Yeah, mine sits in the same spot constantly.
He never moves out of his bogwood tunnel unless there is a prawn about.

What other fish are there in the tank, because bloodworm might all get gobbled by active fish before your bichir finds it.

I defrost a prawn and hold it in front of his tunnel, and he will grab it out of my hand - otherwise he never notices and the other fish pig it first.

She the only fish in the tankand i was thinking of getting an albino male for her. It is a senegal bichir. My tank is a little plain at the moment becouse I couldnt save any of my live plants and acsessoris becouse of a huge out break in algie and fungus in my tank ( I was away for two weeks on vacation )

The problem is i dont know any fun fish to have and buy

How big is the tank? add some floating plants or some kind of shelter to the tank it will make the bichir ''feel'' more comfortable-Anne

The anal fin on male polypterids is approx. twice as wide as the females.During mating he uses the anal fin to caress the female.When she releases
the egs he cups the fin and catches the eggs fertilizes them and drops them.
Smaller species are hard to sex with reliably until they are 7-8 inches-Anne

My dels always seemed to be fairly slow growers compared to say my senegals.Its taken 5-6 months
to reach like 6 inches then they quit growing lenght and added girth.So they lost the snakey, thin long look
glad they are eating so well too small portions several times a day best simulates how they eat in the wild
remember round is ok a fat bichir is not a healthy bichir contrary to popular belief-Anne

They've been eating muscle for the last
few days (thats all they would eat lol)
But now there eating i'll try different foods!

Oh y not....I'll try them on prawn now lol

Not only did they eat the prawn but...
They ate some crickets that i put in for
my butterfly fish!
