Thanks for reading

Paul.

weather or not you "need" co2 is down to your lighting, if you are in the lower ranges then co2 can be beneficial but certainly not needed.
have a read up on "high tech" and "low tech" planted tanks dude.

a high tech tank would be high lighting, which necessitates co2 and a good fert routine.
growth rates can be ten times as much over a low tech tank, so you are looking at high maintenance. large weekly water changes and plenty of trimming and replanting etc.

the low tech option is low light, no co2, little ferts. low growth so less hassle/maintenance, but you will be more limited in what plants you can grow.

it really depends on what you are wanting to get from this tank. and what type of "scape" or perhaps specific plants you want also

Whether or not you need CO2 will depend on your lighting. If you have a low light tank you will not need CO2, but you will be limited in the plants that will survive in your tank. Because plants grow more quickly in a tank that is brightly lit, a high light tank will require CO2 and fertilizers and you'll be able to choose from a wider variety of plants. If you can tell us how many watts per gallon you have (or plan to have) we can help you better.

p.s. that tank will look great with some live plants in it!

well i have 2 tubes one is a jbl solar color t8 895mm 30w the other is a power-glo t8 18,000k 30w if that helps?? as i have no idear what your on about

you have a low light tank, dont need co2, and need to stick to the limited low light plants that will survive in that set up.
but if you desire you can change any of that!

and you are on a forum about planted tanks that has a search feature.........

this can be quite an in depth subject, expecting someone to tell you how to set up from scratch is a bit much.
if you did at least a bit of reading up then you would be able to ask specific questions that ppl can answer in an understandable way for you.
