I traded all dozen, or so, healthy Fancies!

Are you trying to shove it our face that you don't like livebearers or that you've given up/had problems with them and thats why you traded them? I don't mind you liking other fish, i just wanna see the purpose of the post.
Sorry but it just seemed rude..... or was it just me? -_-

The purpose of my post was to say I no longer have Fancy Guppies in my tanks.

I traded them in for a pair of free Rams. I think Rams have more personality and are fun to watch. I was able to get a pair of free rams because I took such good care for my Fancies. I came back four days later to get my Kribensis, and my male fancies were already sold. I had beautiful tuxedo males with fancy fins like a fan of wavy-striped black and light yellow tails. I had rainbow spotted fancies males, red albino males, a mix between Tequila sunrise and tuxedo males. The females were just as beautiful, color full tails, some will speckled bodies, I had raised them into third generations. Marvelous fish, however, I got tired of seeing the only action in the tank of the males f*cking the females to a point where the females would sit at the bottom of the tank.

I just wasn't appreciating the personalities of fancies any longer. I created beautiful males and females, which is the purpose, but I was ready for a more flamboyant fish that had attitudes and males weren't bothering females on a regular basis. Rams are an equally matched pair of fishes that care for each other rather than looking for the next mate to spawn.

Keep in mind; I had such wonderful kept fancy's that I was given free cichlids! Unheard of!

**By the way, ma'am, you yourself should understand the Cichlid world; as seen in your signature. I am surprised at you for attacking my decision!

I think she was just happy to have something new right Jennifer_R???
Absolutely correct!
Most beginners start with guppies, fall in love, talk about the fry, talk about the same sh*t over and over again. But I’ve progressed, and have found Cichlids to be an entertaining fish to keep. As if I’ve moved on beyond and to the next level of fish keeping.

I saw my cichlids mouth fighting for the first time tonight....2 males deciding whos boss!!! They weren't going to hurt each other, just exerting their authority....one of the reasons I got cichlids...

That said, I still love my platies and my "peaceful" community fish!!

wait untill those rams die, theyre really weak fish. then youll wish you had your guppies back.
