Hello all.

I just bought myself two Assissin snails for my tank yesterday as I have a snail problem. One of them is really active but the other one just seems to want to bury itself in the gravel. Is this normal?

Kind Regards
Jack

i wouldnt worry about it too much.....

give him a few more days to get used to his new home

Cheers mate, actually just found the answer, missed it on my first search, but by all accounts this is totally normal.

Regards
Jack

This is how they predate - (if that's the right word?) then when the pest snail comes by they appear out of the substrate and kill.

Mine also do this, but i also find that the Baby Assasin's hide in the substrate and come out when they are big enough!

Yep. Too bad you don't have a sand substrate. They can really get moving!

(sorry it's just a crappy iPhone low-light photo but he was moving so fast I didn't have time to get out my camera!)

I really like your signature pic, This Old Spouse. It looks like they are posing for you !
