I have a baby Moonlight Gourami with 4 other baby Black Lyre Tail Mollys.
When I feed them, I've noticed that the Gourami hasn't been eating!
My fish care sheet says one of the symptoms for internal parasites is a loss of appetite.
I know I don't have ammonia in the water because I have test strips that show me that kinda stuff.

Tank size: 20 gal.
pH: It says to lower the pH but I heard not to mess with the pH
ammonia: Safe
nitrite: Safe
nitrate: Safe
kH: N/A
gH: N/A
tank temp: 78º F

Fish Symptoms: Loss of appetite

Volume and Frequency of water changes: About 4-5 times per month

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: N/A

Tank inhabitants: A baby Moonlight Gourami with 4 other baby Black Lyre Tail Mollys

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): A couple live plants

Exposure to chemicals: N/A

Tell me if you need any more info about him.

Not eating can be a number of reason, has the fish bloated up or darken in colour or gone pale, what does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet, any symtoms to go on.

Poor appetite due to external causes
Competition from more dominant fishes

New environment

Inappropriate/poorly accepted food

I've noticed it looks kinda stringy when "he uses the toilet." While at other times it looks normal.
I think he ate like 1-2 pieces of food today which is better than a few days ago.

How long have you had the fish.

He's not very new to the tank. He's been in there about a month.
The Mollys don't seem very dominant. After all, thery're pretty small.

I would change the diet, what do you feed your fish.

I feed them TetraMin Tropical Flakes. The company is called "TetraMin" so it's not like it's only for Tetras.
I fed my all the Mollys like the food. Why wouldn't the Gourami?

this is only for feeding the fish, but i am a keeper of many mollies and i feed them all different types of foods. i used to just feed them tropical flakes and they seemed to lose a bit of color and not eat as much, but i stocked up on atleast 6-7 different foods including
live brine shrimp
frozen brine shrimp
dried shrimp pellets
algea wafers
random sinking pellets
tropical fish flakes
really fine cut lettuce.

each day i give them a couple different things, and i noticed since i started doing that all the fish got better looking colors and seemed a lot more healthy and active.
also if your fish does happen to have internal parasites foods live brine shrimp are good for the fish to help clean out their system as well as all pepso foods.

Thanks for the help but now I don't think he has parasites.
I also found out yesterday that he's not a Moonlight Gourami. The pet store was mistaken and thought he was a baby Moonlight Gourami and gave him to me free. He's a Red Honey Sunset Gourami and is not a baby. He also keeps getting stuck on the filter sucker and I think he's getting weaker. When he get's stuck, he's not getting any air and is now just laying at the bottom of the tank alive. Every couple minutes or so he tries to swim up and get some air but he keeps falling from weakness. :(

Sadly it sounds like he has a bacterial infection which gouramis are prone to, i would issolate him and add a bacterial med fast, as he dosn't sound in good shape at all.

Well, thanks for all the help guys. I couldn't figure out what it was and he died last night. :-(
Thanks again.

Sorry for your loss, R.I.P.
